Early May Joost Huysmans started working for Waeterinckx Vansteenkiste Attorneys. Joost is attorney and has a PhD in law. After his studies and his PhD, Joost specialized in corporate criminal law and criminal law procedure, as well as in the European Treaty of human rights, and in Cassation Procedures in criminal law. In 2018, Joost was awarded with the prestigious Fernand Collin-prize.
Until recently Joost was member of the VDG Attorneys law firm, where he worked in close cooperation with prof. dr. Raf Verstraeten. The latter having decided to stop his activities as an attorney in April, Joost grasped the opportunity to join our law firm, as a natural complement to the expertise already present in corporate criminal law.
We wish Joost a warm welcome and are very happy that our clients will now also benefit from Joost’s academic and practical knowledge and experience.
