Ruben Van Herpe is appointed Associate Partner at Waeterinckx Attorneys Business Criminal Law as from January 2024.
Ruben is Master in Law and in Tax Law. He started his traineeship in 2014 with Patrick Waeterinckx as a trainee mentor. As attorney Ruben specializes in criminal law and procedure. His area of expertise lies in business criminal law, with a special knowledge and know-how in money laundering and fiscal criminal cases.
Ruben also obtained certificates in Customs & Excise-duties, this after also achieving the certificate of Special Training Supreme Court Procedure in Criminal Cases.
After completing his term as a part-time assistant, Ruben is currently also affiliated with the Institute of Criminal Law (KU Leuven- Catholic University of Leuven) as a volunteer scientific assistant. Ruben is a lecturer at seminars and he regularly publishes in professional journals.
